No one is offering us 40 million for a player with one year left on his contract who has shown no interest in signing a new one.

Admittedly that article does seem rather optimistic unless we have one of our famed 1+ year extensions :lolol:

At the time of his signing both the Athletic and the Argus reported that it was believed Albion have the option of a further year on his contract.

He is one of those that needs to be main man to truly thrive.
That is not going to happen at Brighton. He‘s not good enough atm to justify it.
So I fear he will go to a lesser team, do brilliantly and then get a very big move.
But it still feels like he needs to go this summer.

So much potential Maybe a better team player now but just remember him keeping the ball until he got a shot in or mostly lost it. We have tried many in no 10 position without finding a perfect solution. Heshould certainly be chosen in squad over Milner

Wolves about to get money for Cunha
Brentford about to get money for Mbuemo.

He could fill a role for either team.

New contract, come on Julio, you know it makes sense

Buonanotte, Enciso and Gruda as back up to Danny, Georginio and Joao Pedro (if they all stay) ? That'd do for me.

Price 25m with wiggle room sounds about right.
Tough for us when he only has a year left.

A transfer to the Champions League finalists is surely too good for the player to turn down. Hopefully we can get some good add-ons and a decent sell-on% but his agent surely holds most of the cards now.

Also bags of potential but in 2 seasons he's probably only had about 7/8 good performances
