I started a new job on Monday, have done four days training, but have now been offered another job which I am going to take, starting next Thursday. Problem is, my contract says I have to give a weeks notice, but obviously I want to be paid for the four days I have done. So, what do I do?

No reason why you shouldn't be paid for what you've done or would do until you go... unless they want to be arsey about it.

Yeah and there's no point in them making me work my weeks notice- they'd be better off spending the money training someone else. But if they get arsey about it I don't know what to do.

O.K listen up and listen good because i'm only going to say this once. Stick two pencils up your nose and put your underpants on your head. They'll think your crazy and send you home.

Or recommend you for a job with LDC...

If you've only just started then your notice period is largely irrelevant.

You would still be paid for what you've done but don't expect a week in lieu!

Cheers lads. Going in to quit now. My boss is a strict Christian, surely me being honest should count for something.
