Does a player have to sign by noon to be eligible to play tomorrow?

Arrrgggghhhh FFS why is this board so obsessed with former Albion players who were occasionally good.

We have bigger fish to fry now...

...GET OVER IT.

Didn't Danny Holla have a similar goal ratio from defensive midfield.

Worth remembering before people think we have the next Cruyff

This one looks like a go-er then - V reliable Dutch magazine account that tweet came from. Wonder if Watford were ever seriously in for him...

Agreed, BUT;

A young (22), pacey, direct winger who gets goals is EXACTLY what we needed. He also scored 3 goals in 6 games in the Europa League. So it's one I can understand people getting excited about!

From Fox Sports NL:

He was also able to Sporting Lisbon and Watford, but Elvis Manu chooses to Brighton & Hove Albion. The attacker leaves Feyenoord and is still Friday afternoon undergo a medical examination at the club from the Championship.

Manu was already on Thursday, as FOX Sports reported, on its way to the exit of the Kuip. His agent Carlos Barros told us that the chances were very high that the attacker very quickly from Rotterdam was leaving. '' He's going to definitely gone. There are clubs interested him even this weekend will still have to play. So that says enough about the pressure that they put behind it '', said the players' time.

Barros had just returned from a meeting with Sporting Lisbon. Watford also was very interested, but Manu had the best feeling in Brighton, also the only club to put down a concrete offer in Rotterdam.

'' Brighton has a serious option, '' said Barros on Thursday. '' They have a beautiful property and are ambitious. They want to promote as quickly as possible. "" Brighton, where former VVV goalkeeper Niki Mäenpää plays, is in second place in the English Championship. Feyenoord capture around 1.7 million euros for Manu.

The striker played since his youth for Feyenoord in 2012 and made his debut in the first team. Then he was loaned twice: at Excelsior and SC Cambuur. Last season, Manu was the big man in the Europa League for the locals.

Manu made the important winning goal in the preliminary round against Zorya Luhansk, giving Feyenoord reached the group phase of the Europa League. In the sixteenth final against AS Roma he put the equalizer on the board. Feyenoord were eventually eliminated by the Romans 1-2. (FOX Sports)

I imagine The King's agent has been telling anyone and everyone the price his client is available at, and is now delighted he's holding all the aces with 4 sides at the table.

This could get messy.

It could get messy indeed but how many of the other clubs have a half Ghanaian manager ? Could this swing it ? If we were in the Premiership probably. In the Championship will be harder to convince him but are Watford willing to drop Troy Deeney to guarantee him a starting place, I doubt it so we have as good a chance as any. I had never heard of him

There's a guy scoring goals for the Albion swears he's Elvis

Just like you swore to me that you'd be true

There's a guy scoring goals for the Albion swears he's Elvis

But he's not a liar and his name is Elvis Manu

(repeat to fade)

Love it.

Just in case there's any poor souls unfamiliar with the song by the ever-magnificent Kirsty MacColl, he we are. Chorus 40 seconds in.

He's very inconsistent. Has qualities, works hard but very very raw. Quite tempered too.

Very poor on his weaker foot but an effective player who loves to make diagonal runs into the box. Lots of potential though

KuipTalk ‏@KuipTalk 14m14 minutes ago
Nah, too opportunistic. Needs too much chances to score. Not very impressed tbh.

@chaka_simbeye scored some important goals for us, he's very quick and strong, but a bit restless when in possession/front of goal.

Think with some good training, we can make a player of him...
