Elphick SURELY told his marker to stop??

I mean, the slaphead just charged past him, closed his eyes and bonked it into the gaping goal. Didn't Elphick TELL him "please don't jump and score a nice simple header and deprive us of even a single home point"?

What's going on with these opposing players (that Elphick is supposed to be marking), why don't they listen to reason?

And why don't our players have a go at getting a shot in sometimes instead of feeling COMPELLED to pass the flipping ball out WIDE ALL THE TIME

We are so predictable, and have been for a long time. Pass out wide and hope to get a head or a toe to a cross.

Strike the ball towards the goal with your foot? What are other team's players THINKING when they do such a weird thing as that?

elphick has been generally wank since winning player of the season, which was the same time thats wilkins left and the subsequent break up of a promising partnership between himself and lynch. co-incidence?

Agree. It has gone to his young, inexperienced head and turned him into a bit of a "Billy Big Pants". It's a shame that the balls inside the pants don't match up at times and he comes accross as a "mouth on a stick".

Sort it out Tommy. You can do it!

Moan, moan, moan.

Elphick has been our best defender for the vast majority of this season. Give it a rest you miserable bastards.

Need 90 mins from Elf, and the forwards have to get more shots and a better return on chances

I think Elphick has improved in recent weeks (since Christmas), but today as has been the case for the first part of the season, he was all over the place and is undone by any sort of movement by the opposition.

It is all very disappointing, even more so in that arguably Tunnicliffe maybe a better option and he is out on loan.

being our best defender this season though could be compared to winning dancing on wheels

I never said he was McShane-esque. But he has been the only one consistently in the starting line up, and rightly so.

But, people will have to blame someone. We were playing against the best team in the league today. Maybe that had something to do with the result. But, that's right, carry on hiding behind a computer screen to criticise and slag the players off. It's an easy game, when you're sitting in the stands.

Is this the same Tunnicliffe who went straight in at the back for MK Dons today and helped them ship 5 goals against Carlisle?

Elphick has made some errors and had some poor games but him and Virgo (along with two very good full backs) are finally forming some sort of solid defensive line, we need to stick with them as long as we can as it is one of the main reasons we have been much more solid at the back.

No, no he hasn't.
He makes a lot of errors, and has been to blame for most of the points we've dropped this season.
I wonder how he'll screw up next game - watch next week to find out, kids.

At least some people can point out that he'll have scored two or three goals, while letting his markers fill their hats with win bonuses.

:lolol: Most of the points we've dropped have been Elphick's fault. Excellent. Well, you can't please all the people all the time. However;
