Evening andy, hope all's well wicha! Honestly, you've no idea about the frenzy there's been on here about you-know-what. :lolol:

It's a good job your giving our lot some super-sound advice - otherwise you could get them into a right ol' jam on the 23rd. I've been quite tempted to throw a spanner or 3 in the works meself tbh - but there's still plenty of time yet...

Cheers Andy - really good of you to take the time to give advice and answer all our questions over the last few days.

If we've been in a frenzy up to now, just wait until tomorrow when tickets go on general sale - sit back and watch the carnage!

Can't wait for 23rd. We'll take a beating but it'll be a great day out.

Anyone know if there are plans for balloons, flags or anything special?

I thought it went on sale to white members tomorrow? Don't take my word for it though, I haven't paid that much attention cos I've already got mine as Im Gold!!

I'm not a white Member so have brought two villa tickets for the home end, keeping my options open and the more tickets I get then the more chance of getting in :)

All this talk of tickets for Villa Park reminds me of the trouble I had getting one the last time I went to a cup game there.

Birmingham City v West Bromwich Albion, FA Cup Semifinal, 1968.

The tickets went on sale on a Sunday. There were three ways to get them - queue at The Hawthorns, queue at St Andrews, or queue at Villa Park. I drove all the way from Brighton to queue at Villa Park. The queue went halfway round the ground. When I was about 5 yards from the ticket booth, the inevitable happened - the last ticket went.

Trudged back to the car, drove to my folks' house, walked in, ticketless, to discover that my dad had been down the pub and had been given two free tickets by Ron Wylie, the Blues' captain.

RESULT ! Which is more than can be said for the game itself.

60,831 there, btw.

Would just like to say how much i have enjoyed the threads from Andycapp. In recent days the site has been pretty crap reading at times, with doom and gloom merchants alongside those who will never be satisfied whoever we sign. I am sure all sites get this, but again its been a pleasure mate
