The problem with him helping out El-Abd was that their right back kept on getting the ball in so much space and crossing balls, which were looking dangerous. However with a better left back he would have closed down the right back and he wouldn't of got as many crosses in.

The number of times the winger went past El Abd but there was Bennett tracking back and blocking him of must have reached double figures.

You'd hope that he would also have had the opportunity to show his skills going forward, but he was given a job and he did it. I suspect that Gus will be delighted and will already know how good he is on the right wing.

A spanking player. Very exciting.

He spent a lot of time helping El-abd out rather than playing his own game, he can be forgiven for that, he is qualla!

Agree with that - BUT, his delivery from free kicks was poor - not getting the ball past the first man (several times)

I know we won, but still little things to improve on.

FANTASTIC result though, and a great day out.

Yeah I go along with the above, was sacrificied a little to help out El-Abd, which works wonders on that Antonio chap. So I understand why he didn't get forward as much as normal, but I was disappointed with his crossing/free kicks and corners which I thought were really poor again. He wasn't great on set pieces at Wycombe either. I'm sure he'll turn it round again soon.

I really think he'll go on to be an awesome player for us

When is McNulty back ? We need him

As for Bennett, he has been class since arriving. Poyet will of seen the dvd's and see him in training. He'll be well aware of what he brings to the table

Did a job for the team and because of that had to sacrifice some of his game. Wouldn't call it a off day at all more a change of role and seeing as how once he went to the left there right winger didn't get in as much that has to be a job done
