FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Im thinking about investing in one.

Does anyone have any reccomendations and how much would a decent one cost ?

Is it worth it ?

Or should i stick to the razors ?

On a train...
I was using an electric razor until last week when I got one of those Gillette Fusions which are fantastic. Far better than electric.

Can't stand electrics (I worked for Braun at one time) as they give me a rash. I have both Fusions now, the power one isn't worth the extra cost but the 'normal' one is excellent.

I've got a Phillips Cool shave thingy. dispenses moisturiser whilst you shave - feels like someone constantly jizzing on your face! Don't really get on with it but it was a present from the mrs so can't complain.:smokin:

About 6 months ago i converted from wet shave to a Philips Coolshave rotary head, and i'm happy with the results mainly from the convenience perspective and costs. this particulat model is 100% water proof so you can use it in the shower too

The bottom line is that a wet shave will always give a closer shave. However, the Philips is close enough and i get fewer ingrown hairs and of course there's no chance of nicking yourself and bleeding all over your collar when you are in a hurry.

If you do swap from wet to electric you must give your face time to adjust and then you will avoid any rashes. Alos don't mix wet shave and dry shaving for this reason. Alos you you can get pre-electric shave lotions that softern your bristles.

Can anyone tell me why spare razor blades are so damn expensive? I'm also not impressed by the advertising bollox from Gillette. Each time they just redesign the handle, add another blade, give it a new paint job and give it a macho name .......Fusion DOH!
