El-Abd Debut

I thought he was very good in his debut, nothing flashy - one decent run.

At some point later on this season Butters or Cullip will be missing due to suspension / injury.

Who would you play as a replacement in centre of defence - Petwick, Virgo or El-Abd ?

I've always rated Virgo but he's constantly being overlooked, El-Abd sloted into the back four very well!

I agree, I think he looked quite solid, would like to see him against better oposition in order to judge him properly. But he done himself lots of favours on Tuesday unlike coco the clown Roberts.

I thought that he looked a very good player in the making. A few mazy runs and a couple of Beckhamesque crosses. Not bad at all for a 19 year old making his debut for the first team. Well done Adam. You put some of the senior pros to shame.

Totally agree.........................although lets be fair Bolton were crap..............how would he be against a good second division side.
