Why not….sorry but who are you to dictate what words i use….’’they’’ as you have seen remarked upon by other posters is a perfectly normal word to use….tbh i dont really care about your query and won’t bother wasting anymore time on it (and its said in a polite tone )Why would you use they in Eddie/Suzie's case? She says she prefers she but will accept he so why would you use they?
I'm informed by someone apparently ITK that Izzard is a major donor to the Labour Party, believes s/he has a right to be selected as a candidate somewhere, has tried and failed before to get a nomination, has now bought a £1m+ house in Ditchling Road and announced s/he wants to be the candidate for Brighton Pavilion as one of the few winnable seats in the SE without a sitting Labour MP. It all leaves the local and regional parties with a bit of a selection headache.
Dam i meant to say Kenneth …or was it Sabrina
Your last warning, he’s not a he, instead a she, they, them, theirs, xe or xe etc. An expert will be along to ‘guide’ you.
Has the Lib Dem candidate for Lewes been involved in anything horrifying as far as you know*?Says the person in Wales
Not that I’m bothered as I don’t live in Brighton
Lol….my post re K and S was a joke/piss as i understand that is what Eddie Izzard had said dont call himI don't wish to appear rude, but I do wonder who's taking the piss out of who here ?
Eddie Izzard clears up her pronouns and says 'no one can really get it wrong'
the sentance is correct regardless of gender politics. one might say "Zamora is the best Brighton player of recent times, aren't they?", rather than "...isn't he". we mustn't hijack "they" and limit it's use in normal language. there is a dedicated pronoun for neutral, "ze", use that.
Not as far as I know. James MaClearly is the leader of Lewes District Council and the LD candidate for the next electio.Has the Lib Dem candidate for Lewes been involved in anything horrifying as far as you know*?
I was talking to my mum about who she'd vote for when I was last down there and she seemed to have a fit when I looked up who it was and told her, but this seemed to be based on something she'd read somewhere about a twitter spat that may or may not have involved him or somebody else with a similar name.
*For the sake of conversation, I'm not considering standing for parliament or being a Lib Dem to be intrinsically horrifying.
He's not the leader of Lewes DC anymore, it's a Green/Labour Council. Not as far as I know. James MaClearly is the leader of Lewes District Council and the LD candidate for the next electio.
