In my computer
I used to get that as my Norton Antivirus wouldn't let me access https:// web sites.. Although I didn't think ebay was a secure site?

Have she got any security software blocking those sites?

If you have a firewall try turning it off, if its the default Microsoft 'Windows Defender' its under 'Control Panel' and then 'Security Centre'. Also, if you have a pop up blocker that could be another problem.

PM me if that doesn't work.

On a train...
I used to use a Belkin router and for some reason certain websites wouldn't load.

As soon as I changed to a Netgear router, all was fine.

Anyone know why, as Belkin couldn't tell me.

Check your firewall settings like another user suggested? It may have a temp block on these sites? May be I am wrong but are using Nortons?

1) If you are using Nortons why not try Zone Alarm Free Edition instead, it does exactly the same job as Nortons without totally screwing up Windows.

If you are also using IE you might like to try Firefox sometime as well.

Both these products are FREE

This may fix your MSN problem :

To attempt to fix, close down Messenger if it's running, click Start, then
Run, and type the
following:
%userprofile%\contacts
and click OK.
If nothing appears in the folder, click the Tools menu, then Options, then
View tab, click
'Show hidden files or folders' and click OK. Once you are able to see the
folders,
right-click the one that corresponds to your Passport and choose Delete.

Next, click Start, then Run, and type the following:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

Then remove the corresponding folder again in this folder.

Then restart Messenger and try signing in again
