Bankers is nice, don't get me wrong, but the original and best will always be Bardsleys. I've got some great memories of going in there as a young child and Ron, the owner, giving me a chip wrapped up in a bag, while I waited. The kind of service you can't buy!

I'm sure it was voted the best Fish & Chip restaraunt in the country at some point - unsurprisingly.

The free chip thing sounds awesome, I'm gonna go there this weekend and take my other half and her three year old. Here you go. Have a big chip. Its free. Keep you quiet till your proper bag of chips arrived. And look you get a placcy bag. Ignore the bit where it says keep plastic bags away from children, they do it all the time
