Last three season shave seen great preseasons and bad seasons. So this time it is OK that we may have started the present pre-season a little shaky. Augurs well for a successful main season methinks?

So you are saying there is no way that a player released at our level can make it for another club then? I just think it is extremely sad that people on here are writing off a player before he has even played in a proper game for his club. Also, for the record, Southampton have Davis and Bialkowski in goal so that would explain why he didn't play.

Have you not noticed that 3 of those have been with virtually our youth team on the pitch. Not exactly a fair reflection on how our season is going to go, don't you think?

No that is where you're wrong. Poke got 20 clean sheets last season so im pretty sure that he is good enough for back up. Look how many howlers Kuipers made but he is still highly rated at the club. Brezovan has even made one or two but he is still our number one. Stop jumping down the keepers throats and give them a bloody chance.
One mistake? A keeper makes one mistake in pre-season and you think he should be out of consideration for next season, added to the fact your slagging off a striker despite not being at the game.
Poke was up against Kelvin Davies at Scum, one of the best keepers outside the prem, and didnt want to be second choice, and was extremely highly rated by Torquay fans.

Probably because your views stand out as being plain stupid. The results are irrelevant but our proper team won 2-0 at Bognor last night (before the youth cam on) and the proper team today drew 2-2 at Eastbourne, hardly disastrous are they? The only bad result so far was Whitehawk.

I don't think pre season has ever been about results. It's about getting your fitness back up and giving the youngsters and trialists a chance.

I assume that the proposed first team will nw play in Portugal - that will be when we see what they are made of. Looks lie we are weak at the back - even allowing for the ones score3d when we had the youth team out, but most of the games have not ben the first choice back four.
