I love going to County League games. Cheap, beer while watching, loads of mistakes to laugh at and people you know playing.


Sadly I would rather go and watch SCL games than go to Withdean nowadays. Turn up around kick off, park outside the gate, get a beer and a burger while still watching the game and then go and stand where you like. It doesn't have to be planned like some military operation.

If my memory serves me well, which it doesn't always, I am fairly sure that when Worthing played them in the Corithian League, early 50s, they were East Grinstead Town.

Worthing have to play winners of Rye-EG match in SSC

Depending on which league they are in i am not sure whether to be worried for the rebels or not.

According to the Argus website E Grinstead won 2-0. And the mighty Ringmer beat Midhurst 4-2 in the RUR cup at the Caburn, sounds like a cracking game!
