no. I was woken at 5 this morning by what felt like a quake.

i have just finished running for the last hour around shoreham beach and didnt feel a thing. On second thoughts im a fat bastard so maybe it was my running you could feel 5 miles down the coast.

Yes you can. In Greece we have one about the size you are talking about, every day. We get a musive one about once a year and that can scare the living shit out of you. Once its over though, in a wierd kind of way, i want them back, i like them. Dont want anyone to die though. Luckly the earthquakes are so far underground that they do little damage. If they were any higher on a regular basis, Greece simply would not exsist.

The British Isles and much of Europe is situated on a Craton which is an area of relatively stable crust which is not under stress due to subduction or sea floor spreading.. in other words we are unlikely to have anything more than a tremor unless Johnny Vegas buys a trampoline.
