Just ordered myself a Toshiba RDXS32 Multiformat DVD Recorder with 80GB hard drive to replace/supplement the video.

Has anyone got a DVD recorder/HDD? Are they the dogs bollocks or what?

I've got a Philips - its just a dvd recorder, no hard drive.

But, the one advantage I find is that it uses the +R and +RW discs rather than the - format which means the recorded discs can be played back on any dvd player

I've got the Panasonic version - fantastic piece of kit.

Some people have them constantly recording whenever watching TV in order to give you the ability to pause live TV, rewind etc. (It's not actually quite live, you'll be about 5-7 seconds in delay)

Enjoy.

£394.50 from here (includes p+p). Cheapest I could find.
My mate works in Barkers in Worthing, he could only do it for £520. BIG difference.
