I wasn't describing the regime, I was describing the country.

Despite the regime, it was moving forward as a country - an increasingly educated workforce and rapidly growing economy, with people of all faiths living side by side peacefully.
Fair enough. A bit like Iraq under Saddam, I suppose. Far from ideal, but reasonably safe on a day to day basis (for most of the population anyway). Replacing him went well ................

The point is no one in a free society ironically has the right to cover their face and be anonymous, no one. It is a security risk and only common sense would suggest it should be banned. I can't see how anyone can argue against this. This is not Saudi Arabia or some fanatical Islamic state it is the United Kingdom. If people do not like this, it would be best if they moved to a part of the World this is accepted and embraced. The full face veil should be banned from our shores, now

What about if people do not like the fact the full face veil is not banned? Should they move to somewhere where it is?

Ah, my font of local knowledge makes himself look a tit again. I didn't bring UKIP wankers into this conversation. The aptly named Looney did. As for deflection, coming from a tit who tried deception, funny. Got a link for that imaginary page yet? I'm sure I'll see your waffling explanation when I get back.

Well well, back to the usual little insults again. Very rarely can you actually disagree for long without resulting to childish sneering insults. Then you wonder why your views are often disagreed with, sometimes (not often) your posts might hold some credence, but unfortunately it is you that is posting them.

Having a good cry are you hypocrite? I was using them as a comparison of a contradictory stance used by people like you. You aptly dived in makig a foool of yourself and are now being tardpiled because you have presented yourself as an easy target, ie trying to defend a weak position.

Carry on fool.

Veil wearing is not part of popular British culture , just as alcohol and roast pork are not part of muslim culture , ask yourself , if i were to move to Iran and open a British cafe serving alcohol , pork products and showing porn on big screen tv's what kind of reaction would i EXPECT from the local authorities....?

So you think that we should use Iran as a measure of morality and civility? I disagree I think we should be better than that.

Veil wearing is part of British culture many women wear them at weddings, should we ban them too?

One thing that i think is a part of British culture is an acceptance of others. Hence the fact that wearing a veil is not against the law and most people are happy to let people do it if they wish (unlike your example of the sausage, booze and porn cafe that you want to open in Iran).

Do we ban everything that isn not part of British culture?

Basketball?
Gridiron?
AFL?
noodles?
croissants?
pasta?

yeah mate , are you being deliberately obtuse...?? i'm happy to accept anyone as long as they don't make me feel like a foreigner in my own country........demanding their own schools , churches and dietary requirements be adhered to , funded , supplied and delivered by the state which at the same time they are attempting to undermine and eventually dis-mantle.

So people who wear veils are trying to undermine and dismantle the state? You have gone from it being a banned because it is not part of British culture to claiming that people who wear face coverings are trying to overthrow the government. I think you are paranoid.

Lots of groups have their own schools.... Rich people, catholics, people with disabilities, deaf people. Lots of groups have their own churches. Lots of groups have dietary requirements. Your suggestion seems to be that Muslims get more state cash for their schools, places of worship and dietary requirements than others. Do you have any figures for this because i simply don't believe it is true.

So wearing a face veil for a wedding which a woman may do once or more in a lifetime is the same as a woman wearing a face veil everyday at all times in all places is the same thing ? I am not sure it is quite the same thing. Also I don't believe Basketball and the others mentioned hold an inherent security threat, I doubt a noodle would do much damage if it went on a terrorist spree

If,IF, the burqa is forced on these women. And it's a big IF, imagine how they must feel about this debate. Forced to wear something they don't want to and vilified by the public for doing so. If that is the case they deserve our empathy not our scorn.

If that is the case it would be nice to liberate them of this don't you think by banning it ?

I genuinely don't know mate. I'd be surprised if it were banned here anytime soon. So I suppose in the meantime we should try and be a bit patient with those wearing such clothing.

Ok but why do they have to be Black, that just looks sinister. Is this also part of the rule ? I am not sure

Got me, be nice to see some flair this season, bit of orange or a careless smattering of diamante perhaps. Something FABULOUS!
