Anyone have an idea of how much it is in a cab from the airport to the city centre?

Or how much a bus is?

Thanks.

Number 41 bus - €1.90
Airlink bus - about €5

Taxi - could be €35.

41 is the easiest. Need to pay in coins and they don't like massive bags.

Cheers. How long do the buses take?

I am working in Tallaght, but might finish early, so would head into the centre of Dublin. Is Tallaght near the airport? I fancy going into the centre if I have time, but dont want a ridiculous journey if I havent got long...

Tallaght is much nearer than the airport. I would definately make the effort, rather than 'enjoy' nights out in Tallaght.

Okay, thanks. I'm staying in the centre of Dublin anyway. What I actually meant was that if Tallaght was really near the airport, I would probably go straight from work to the airport, but if its not a long way, I would go into the centre of Dublin from Tallaght, look around, and then go to the airport.

Tallaght is the other side of the city, but it has trams to the city centre, so its way quicker to get in from. The airport buses take 30-45 minutes, depending on what you get.

Worthing
An Irishman an Englishman and a Scot were sitting in a bar. The view was fantastic, the beer excellent, and the food exceptional.

"Y'know" said the Scotsman, "I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgee there's a little bar called McSweaty's. The wee guv'nor goes out of his way for the locals so much that when you buy 4 drinks he will buy the 5th drink for you."

"Well" said the Englishman, "At my local, the Cottage, the barman there will buy you your 3rd drink after you buy the first 2."

"Ahhh that's nothin'" said the Irishman. "Back home in Dublin there's Murphy's bar. Now the moment you set foot in the place, they'll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like. Then when you've had enough drinks they'll take you upstairs and see that you get laid. All on the house".

"The Englishman and Scotsman immediately pour scorn on the Irishman's claims.

He swears every word is true.

"Well" said the Englishman in disbelief, "Did this actually happen to you?"

"Not me myself, personally, no," said the Irishman. "But it did happen to me sister." :drink:

746/747/748 ARE the Airlink! Most of them go straight in, but dump somewhere on the south city centre or at busaras IIRC.

That was a very sad situation but one that hard to understand how it happened.

Case came to Court a few weeks ago and driver was cleared.
