How did you know that Stumpy? Was one of my best friends father. Very upsetting, sent flowres to her family. Over 300 at the funeral. I always liked him.

well that is very sad.

I still vividly remember the assembly he used to do every year to the first years. We'd be sat in the Drama Studio and he'd go on about potatoes, specifically whether you were one of life's
partici-potatoes or not! 10 years on and it's still clear in my mind.

Does Stirling Triggs still work in the PE department?

He was my form tutor for a few years, after the half-man-half-giraffe Mr Landy left.

Apparently so. How old are you edna? I reckon you were in the year below.

Landy was such a tool!

My ex always said they were a double act! I was scared stiff of him and I always got the feeling he didnt like, which was probably true as his daughter was my first love. Chelsea fan. Always reminded me of Texas Pete out of Superted. Real family man. Am truly gutted.

I'm 26, though rapidly and fearfully approaching 27. I think I remember you, not in a stalking way though!

Mr Landy was indeed an utter tool. A science teacher, yet he used to blush uncontrollably when he had to do sex education as part of the curriculum. We had a much easier time under Stirling the scouse-permed PE-meister Triggs.

Apparently two of the other potato types in Mr Ricks's assembly were spec-tator, dic-tator, and so on! I'm not the only one who remembers!

Texas Pete, I remember that too. LOL

I'm still a pupil at downlands and its very sad about Mr. Rix dying, he hadn't been at school for the last few months. He had been an IT teacher for the last 5 years and was a very good teacher and he still did that patato assembly edna k.

Mr. Triggs (mario) is still PE teacher

I left 10 years ago now, so don't know how many are still there.

The much maligned Mr Martin (aka the Downlands School Press Spokesman) is still present I believe, they wheel him out for a quote every time they need a picture of some 12 year old who did a sponsored silence for charridy.

He made me write a 2000 word essay on Chile once because I refused to wear my speccy glasses in his Humanities lesson. Then when I slaved over it all night, the git binned it without even bothering to read it.

Stirling is still around, I think Mrs Mottershead is too, and of course Mr Clarke the head. and probably people like Mr O'Connell (Mr Miyagi). I can't see an old tramp like Mr Raisey ever making the effort to move on either!
