just got back. we were superb in the first half and deserved at least a 2-0 lead. forest were poor. second half, forest had been fired up and made two changes which put them on the front foot. As we have done before, we sat back and made them look much better than they really are - but it paid off in the end. Nicolas was excellent again. forest fans were very down as I walked back along the Trent.

Sounds to me like McGhee knows exactly what he is doing....

As I said in another thread-Thank F**k we've got McGhee in charge. This is a football partnership made in heaven....we need a decent manager to see us through to the promised land of the East Brighton Stadium and our manager needs us to restore his reputation.

We are going places I tells ya-going places!

i go along with that. i thought we played very well in 1st half and defended very well in the 2nd. and i also walked back along the trent amongst disgruntled forest fans.

First half we were brilliant, should have had a greater lead, Hammond missed a good chance, but they were much better in the second, and Kuipers finally showed his qualities.

I don't give a ferk how we play as long as we keep picking up points like this. 10 points from 4 league away games? Behave!

Hove actually
I went to the game last night and agree with previous posts...we were good value for our money in the first half although Forest upped the anti in the second half and it was very much like the Alamo. Ref bottled sending off Oatway...he realy should have walked but hey....he did stay.

One thing...how come the previous posters got back, logged on and delivered a message at the times indicated. If they were on the same road I was on they would not have been back before 12:00. We made it back at 01:15 to Hove and we did not exactly labour the throttle!

Probably because they don't live in Brighton? I used to live in Oldham and would have got back by about 11 from Nottingham to there. As it was I got home a little after 12.30am all the way to Worthing.

I thought our performance in the first half was excellent. We seemed to be first to every ball and our work rate was awesome at times. When they made changes in the second half we were constantly under the cosh and how they didn't score is beyond me. They had enough chances!

Incidentally I was a bit pissed off behind the goal as all the action appeared to be down the other end of the pitch for the whole match!
