£8million would probably have gotten Nakhi Wells, or someone like Tom Bradshaw AND Bradley Dack.

I think by talking about buying Bradshaw AND Dack you've undermined your own argument. Taking a punt on 2 unproven players, one of whom joined a new club a month ago and the other of a type we don't need, just because TB can afford them seems to be precisely the type of business the club is keen to avoid.

The criteria now appears to be PL pedigree and/or PL potential, and so it should be if Bloom's going to chuck £8m in for someone.

Wells is a good striker but £6m better than what we've got? Moot point. He has no league history that indicates he would guarantee promotion. A good scoring record lower down, yes, and a merely respectable record last season.

Of course, it's possible the club did rate him and Huddersfield wouldn't sell. Either way, there is still money there for the RIGHT striker if one is available (either as a free agent or in Jan).

This is a better squad than last season.

Brighton were the highest championship goal scorers last season. Joint with Burnley on 72 goals. The only difference is literally Zamora and Wilson being swapped for Murray in the striker department. I'd back Murray to score more than those he replaced...
Zamora won us a load of points why? because hes a quality player not many players in the Championship would of took his goal at Leeds and that's what we are missing that extra bit of quality up front.
