Be careful with dropping Soros conspiracy theories....that's borderline antisemitism and will likely get you banned if you escalate it. Most of our previous resident trolls ended up getting banned for antisemitism specifically. That is not what is being said at all - it is not antisemitic to criticise either Bibi or Soros on political grounds but
the conspiracy theories about Soros have been fuelled by antisemitic stereotyping and in Eastern Europe, the anti-Soros campaigns have been even more overtly racist.

No not tbh - not when it comes to discrimination and particularly when discussing those that weaponise antisemitism - or indeed are actually guilty of it. Like most people, I’m angry about several things in life, however you suggesting Trumps fake skin colour warrants him special protection under discrimination laws isn’t one of them
Btw - I haven’t been what you might describe as a ‘leftist’ for about 35 years - after that, my more active Labour Party membership and activity had reached a Clause IV moment and I became pro-New Labour much to the ire of my ‘old Labour’ colleagues.

The facts:
*George Soros has never met, spoken with, or otherwise communicated with Alvin Bragg.
*Neither George Soros nor Democracy PAC (a PAC to which Mr. Soros has contributed funds) contributed to Alvin Bragg’s campaign for Manhattan District Attorney.
*Between 2016 and 2022, George Soros personally and Democracy PAC have together contributed roughly $4 million to Color of Change’s PAC, including $1 million in May 2021. None of those funds were earmarked for Bragg’s campaign.
*George Soros has made numerous contributions in support of reform-minded prosecutors across the country since 2015. He discusses his motivations in this Wall Street Journal opinion essay last year:
So what he says he didn't give money to Bragg directly just $4 million to a BIPOC Pac which gave Bragg the money. A lot of Soros's money is filtered through his organisations or aligned NGOs like the Open Society Foundation and Media Matters.
