does anyone remember the Red Arrows plane crashing into the sea off Brighton?

I was living just off the seafront then near Eastern Road, heard the bang then about five minutes later smelt kerosene. Realised something must be wrong, hotfooted down to the seafront to be told that a Red Arrow had crashed :(

As for disbanding, Tony :bowdown: has said that it's not going to happen :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the Reds performing at the International Air Tattoo this year alongside the US equivalent The Blue Angels :)

I also saw it.

Red Arrows were almost an annual show in Brighton but they've hardly been back since.

I was there, but somehow missed it happening. The first I realised was when they flew overhead at the end, all in formation, but there was a gap. I was stood just on the West side of the Palace Pier, and perhaps it was obscured from our view, because no-one around us seemed to realise what had happened.
