Mine and quite a few friends have had their streaming services stopped. Are THEY getting to them out there ?

My brother in law works for an agency tasked solely with dealing with this, I can’t begin to tell you some of the stories he’s told me about their plans 🤔

Why is having a fire stick a problem if they're sold legally? I've just figured out how to get my 5th channel and it's in colour so how would any sort of company have the right to down your fire stick.

Obviously this may seem like a daft question for those that use it to it's full potential but I'm curious to understand how something legal is now deemed illegal 🥺.

This is about “illegal” streaming of football matches, as a way of circumventing paying for Sky Sports/BT Sport subscriptions. There are also services for movies, PPV events, thousands of channels from around the world. Basically it’s bootlegging, but in HD and for a fraction of the price of one monthly subscription, never mind the ten or so you’d need to get everything these services offer.

The companies (Sky, BT, Peacock et al) lose a lot revenue, so are pretty desperate to shut down the services.

All the police do is, supported by private prosecutions from BigTelly, shut down the services and prosecute the people running it. To try and put people off using these services, they are doing the old scare tactics the BBC used to do with their license fees (unmarked vans driving around looking for unlicensed TV signals) - which is of course bollocks.

They’re interested in the ring leaders, not the punters.

Give me a genuine Peacock subscription in the uk that lets me watch live premier football on a saturday and i'm sure i will subscribe. I already pay for Sky and BT so they are not losing money because of me. Obviously i don't know how to use these dodgy items anyway. As i'm over 30.

Perhaps just perhaps there are loads of football fans out there who just want to watch their football team and are NOT trying to steal from these multi billion companies. I mean with Brighton sold out for more or less the whole season it's not that easy to get a ticket anyway.

Can't say I'm concerned about the profits of Sky and BT!
How about money going to ecrime gangs, dodgy nation states and those hosting dubious content alongside it (child porn etc)

Can't be right. NSC's biggest advocate of these services finds it hilarious at my suggestion that his money could be going to organised crime and it is only the "good" money laundering they do. And yet not one person who uses them answered my question as to who they thought their money was going to.

As for dodgy nation states, my taxes pay to arm most of them. I've not been using sites that host child porn. What I find amusing is all these legit companies ads appear on illegally streamed sites.

Of course some of these streaming feeds are hosted in ‘untouchable’ places that also host things like child porn.

Any streaming services in legit hosting spaces don’t last long, so they need to go ‘underground’ so to speak - google bulletproof hosting, that’s exactly the kind of places these streams are hosted

and the Premier League and others. they are the rights owners after all, they determine how the games get shown. if they wanted a free service with all games shown, they could make that happen.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they wasted resources on this kind of thing…
yes its sooooo important ....whilst your prime ministers wife can seemingly waltz away from one bad business after another , owing 100's of thousands of pounds in the process , it is of the utmost importance that if you wish to watch any content on your tv that has any relevance to contemporary life you must pay your dues .....we cannot have corporations being got the better of by the public ....the public is there to fund the jollies of the parliamentarians and their corporate chums.

If you don't pay for your stream apart from a VPN which is totally legit are you OK with it? My friend's friend's dog has checked today and it is still working apparently.
