once...and many would argue that other players had a far greater contribution than the 4 goals that he scored

It will be completely glossed over, but people need to remember we loaned Dobbie out (our top earner), to free-up wages so we could sign Upson and Ulloa.

Upson and Ulloa have contributed massively to us taking 6 points from Hull and Cardiff. If we were unable to secure them because we kept hold of Dobbie, we may well have never got those 6 points.

It's easy for Palace to point and laugh because Dobbie has directly helped them. Let them do it. They don't realise they've indirectly helped us tighten up our defence and sign a striker who makes our system work more effectively, by taking our biggest earner off the wage bill. So thanks Palace

my thoughts exactly......we've got a far greater chance of making the play offs with upson and ulloa than we did without them and with dobbie struggling to make the team

Great free kick.

He's a good player but it just didn't work out for him here. I have no doubt he will continue to score for them but I am happier with Ulloa and Upson in our squad and Dobbie at Palace than I was before January.

I hope Dobbie does score goals for them because that will push his value up at the end of the season

Was it really the only choice we had? If only Palace were interested and we needed the money for Upson and Ulloa then it seems like good business, but loaning out a striker to our main (and promotion chasing) rivals could really bite us in the bottom.

I presume there at least is a clause that he can't play against us in the Palace game.

No he can't. Also he can't play against us in any playoff matches.

Who gives a shit, just cus he scored for palace, doesn't mean he's gonna score goals for us. IMO he has been one of our worst signings in a long time.

"Has a price been pre arranged regardless of how he performs for us between when he signed on load and the purchase date?"
"yes"

How does that work, is it legal? We're not allowed to sell him to you (as we bought him after the season started), but it's being made out like we have basically sold him to you.
So if he were to break a leg, you'd still have to buy him?
