Last time we escorted down to Norwood junction but not kept in. Trains waiting to head south if I remember rightly.

That was a nightmare for me personally!!
Having parked about 1/2 a mile from the ground, following a short drive from wallington, being marched down to south Norwood then being nearly forced onto a traion heading for Brighton, I had to argue with one of the police inspectors to let me walk back to my car, he wasn't keen but finally relented (there were a few of us in the same position) Always thought it wouldn't be a problem as I could cut down one of the side streets, but the mounted police had every street covered. If I remember rightly I got back to wallington at around 8.30pm , when I should have been home by 5.30. Hope it doesnt happen again. When we won 1 - 0 they just let us out, saw some scuffles but nothing major.

same situation for me, as i travelled from bristol for that game. took ages to make them listen that not all of us had come from brighton. very frustrating. being the first game after such a while probably heightened every aspect of the operation though.

Less of us. More of them. Guests first, surely?

Would make sense , however weren't Palace kept behind for 10/20 minutes at the AMEX (or was it just a long celebration in the concourse?) and seem to remember something similar when we won 1-0 up there?

Withdean however I think we were both let out at the same time.

2002 was a nightmare for me. All that kettling bollox. I got back at 8.30pm and only lived about 5 miles away in Wimbledon.

They let me and my Dad out when we reached the road to Norwood Junction, i zipped up my top to cover my colours and we went to Selhurst to get a train back to Sutton. Actually thought the police would force us onto trains to Brighton at one point. All seemed a bit OTT. Live in Wallington now actually!

Not sure we're gonna get tickets this time tho.
