Just out of interest Richie, what precisely makes them scum? I play for Trafford cricket club and a few of my teammates are STH at Old Trafford. As much as I dislike the daytripper/gloryseeker fans from various points of the compass who go to OT, what precisely makes the STH's 'scum' in your professional journalist's eyes?

They are not better than us. If you look at their achivements in the context of their turnover, we are a far more successful club over the last ten years.

Remember that United have 300% of the turnover of any other Premierhsip club, and are the richest in the world by far (discounting the distortion caused by Abramovic in the last 18 months). A return of only one European cup (and that was after being outplayed for 88 minutes) in 17 years under Fergie is in fact a very poor performance.
