Back of the Argus this morning is saying that Norwich have put in a bid for him which we are likely to accept, no mention of what the bid was but they are also saying Prutton is lined up to come here now that Boothroyd has gone to Coventry. Given he only has a year left on his deal, if we were to get somewhere near £300k and replace with Prutton on a free then as much as I'd like Crofty to stay it makes good business sense.

Agreed. Prutton is a very good player at this level. He didn't really flourish at Colchester but I'd say that was Boothroyds fault due to his style of play.

Yes, I think Crofts is worth at least £300 000 to us.
I think it would be a big loss to us if he went, I cannot believe the ' Runs about a lot' bandwagon. Imo You just had to see a few games to realise how important he was to our midfield.
More disconcerting, I think is the possible loss of another player who I thought was very much a Poyet man.
It seems we raise our hopes too high at the end of every season, thinking players love the club & want to play at Falmer.

I really don't want to see players being snapped up or jumping ship like Inigo as it just means rebuilding the squad again. As it is we already have plenty of work to do. To many changes just means another season in mid table.

FFS People are flouncing so bad, Crofts isn't THAT vital, we have plenty of replacements already in the team, and considering the bid is supposed to be 300k+ we could probably get a much better replacement no disrespect to Crofts.

Anyone heard anything on Hendrie? Has he turned down on wages? I'd be happy with him Dicker and Navarro in the middle. More worried about getting a decent replacement for Calderon. His link up play with Bennett and the midfield was key.

Sorry, Oh wise one. What were we thinking, of course you are right. We don't want to be putting together a strong team to push for promotion. Far better to lose a few of your better 1st team players including the captain.

Dicker 1 goal

Navarro 0 goals

Carole 0 goals

Bennett 9 goals

Losing Crofts will be a big blow to us.He didn't get the player of the season for nothing.

As for Wizard you don't get it.

It means we need

New captain and central mifielder, new left winger, new right back, new center half, new keeper, new striker possible 2.That is just to get a good starting 11.Then we need some good back up players. To many changes again.

By to many changes, you mean losing one player...?

Crofts is consistently 6.5, I think we can do better with the money we'll be getting. I also don't think his performances, though he has scored some important goals, really warrant the price tag some are putting on his head. I will trust Gus on this anyway, its his decision ultimately. And I don't think he has made one decision yet I have disagreed with.
