I've been mistaken for Richard Stillgoe on several occasions..
and for thse who come to the NSC bash on 29/11 you may see why..that is if you remember RS which many of you won't.
On New Year's Eve in 1980 ( I think ), I was in the Shades bar at the Old Steine and was accosted twice in the same night ( by different people ) for my autograph - because they assured me I was Richard Stillgoe. Despite professing otherwise, they insisted that I was RS, so I duly signed their fag packets.
I am actually more famous now for being Danny Cullip Lookalike's Dad and, for those who saw him perform in the Robert Eaton Memorial Match at the Withdean earlier this year with what can only be described perpetrating an horrendous tackle ( yellow but should have been red ), I don't ever recall DC do anything like that - although, if pushed, he probably could.
