We have front and back gardens, with many little touches to attract wildlife.

Still a work in progress, with lots for me to do.

You can't beat a little touch in your back garden and they're always a work in progress.

Mine has been for the last 26 years

Jakarta Towers boasts a pond as well, Goldfish, Shibunkin, Golden Rudd, Tench, Frogs and Newts all fighting it out for mastery.

That’s not a pond...: that’s a commercial fishery

Seen a couple of digs recently ( no pun intended ) about people having gardens. With the gardening questions thread I was set a wondering - how many people on here have a garden ? So simple question - do you ?

EDIT - Poll added especially for @HWT !

Yes, a small 'postage stamp' size garden, hence why we have an allotment.

My lady has a garden.

Isn't that called a 'merkfen' :D

Yes we do. Had it half finished - decking installed [dont @ me to that ludicrous thread] but need about 4 tonnes of top soil and turf to complete. It’s driving me nuts that I have the time to do it in between work etc but not the material.

Just shin over the walls of Eastcote House, they've got shed loads

14 years and counting. I actually enjoy gardening and hard landscaping, an endless to-do list goes with the territory.

Stubbornly refusing to get contractors help, adding to the satisfaction when you've done something that looks great.

Have you got a large shed/workshop? That's next for me, but I'll use a firm.

Lawn at the front (v poor condition), lawn and patio at the back (lawn is again in poor nick), neither are very big (just as well really as evidenced by the state of the lawns - I'm clueless with any for of gardening and not remotely interested in it, in fact thinking about astroturfing it) but plenty enough space to sit out etc and although North facing quite a decent sun-trap in the afternoon. Best thing though is the back garden borders a wood which is part of a nature reserve which is brilliant and one of the main reasons we chose this house at the time. Loads of bird and other wildlife about and very peaceful

I've got an 8x6 shed that I replaced the year before last with a new one with Onduline roofing ! That was the complete limit of my DIY skills and only possible because I bought a cordless screwdriver specially for the job which turned it from a nightmare into something quite simple.

A workshop would be a complete waste, as my skills start and finish at gardening (which I quite enjoy) and decorating/paper hanging (which I don't). My DIY skills are a bit of a running joke in the family normally concluded with 'just get someone in' from Mrs Wz or one of the kids

We're up on a hill, incredibly gusty most days of the year. But not in today's beautiful weather!

So I'll get specialists in, when the time comes, to make something sturdy. Workshop I think is the description for larger sheds with a full sized roof, it'll be largely for storage, I certainly won't be in there creating.

Jealous of all you with newts, I have had them at other houses and seen a couple on the path but none in my pond, a real joy. Any crested ones out there?

Yes I do, normally I wouldn't consider it a benefit (lots of chores but don't generally like being out there) but in these strange times I feel very lucky

Yes, but.
My business is in the tourist trade. When the sun shines I make money.
Three years ago we spent big money (five noughts big and more than a 1 at the front) to have two ponds, grass, slabbed terrace, decking over looking the stream, rill, waterfalls, canopy, lighting and a watering system. We overlook a river and fields away from anywhere. It is so quiet and beautiful.
Three years later is the first time I've used the sun lounger.
When this is all over I might retire.

Are Winters not doing deliveries?
