The cliche "act your age" really peaves me off. Why should you "act your age" because society says that is the acceptable norm for people of a certain age? Everyone has different outlooks at different ages. Age is just a number in your mind. If someone at 45 wants to go attend a punk gig, why shouldn't they?...."Act your age"??......Pah!...:nono:

The only thing I think is sad is when you get old fat bald men trying to get into clubs

..... so I don't go.

What does acting your age mean?

I am 55 a mother of two and grandmother to 2 and a bump

How am I expected to act?

My grandkids keep me young, as does my husband.

My husband as many of you know is 35 and yet we act very similarly.

I don't think I act embarrassingly but I do enjoy having fun.

For the last few months, I've been acting older than I am. I'm 24, but since coaching a sporting team I sometimes turn into a 45 year old.

It's totally impossible for me to act my age. I'm 31 and my girlfriend is 21 and as the saying goes - you're only as old as the woman you feel!?!:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

i dont think i act my age ,but then people remind me that I moad about life and say im in practice to be an old man!

looking back 10 years to when I was 18 ,i do act different now.

I can say now at last orders in the pub im off home to bed where as a few years ago i would be well up for crackiing on clubbing.

i still do stupid things though,

I dance around the front room with the ironing board to music.

when i take my socks off getting into bed i do the sock dance ,whereby i sing the white stripes song whilst waving a sock in each hand.

i think that might be me being mad rather than acting immature though!

Good word - used to describe our girlfriends at University.

as in:

"Is Sarah going down the pub"
"Who the f*** is Sarah you f***ing SLICE"
"She's Gordon's TROUT you f***ing RUG."
