Ok used form leauge from 1st Jan and average points per game. This is what the table at end of season would look like:

Reading 77.5
Brighton 76.29
West Ham 75.68
Birmingham 75.4
Blackpool 71.2
Hull 68.68
Southampton 67.71
Cardiff 65.32
Middlesbrough 60

We can but dream that the moneyball analysis works out to plan............

It takes zero courage for fans to dream. I don't understand this 'dare to dream' business...

Makes good reading. With 5 new players all improving the squad/team we are in a better position than I and many could have hoped for at the start of the season.

Good stats but surely no team has been automatically promoted with 76 points?

Is the correct answer since 2004

Season League champions points Runner-up points
2004–05 Sunderland 94 Wigan Athletic 87
2005–06 Reading 106 Sheffield United 90
2006–07 Sunderland 88 Birmingham City. 86
2007–08 West Bromwich Albion 81 Stoke City 79

2009–10 Newcastle United 102 West Bromwich 91
