At school , the lad who's dad owned a newsagent always seemed to have a lot of friends .

With my mates, it was anyone who had cable and a VHS recorder they could use without their parents seeing. RTL II and soft stuff on Bravo. Local Tesco must have wondered why 13/14/15 year olds were buying so many blank tapes.

You always used to hope to find a 'Bongo Bush', normally near a vicarage, where the previous owner had thrown out his selection of stick mags in post spendings self loathing.

I remember trawling the church newspaper recycling shed for page 3 pics.

The day arsonist burned that place down was like God passing judgement on my soul.

What has happened to the world?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/37058019/easy-access-to-online-porn-is-damaging-mens-health-says-nhs-therapist

Youngsters have never had it so good, and they are MOANING about the access of non stop grumble available on t'internet. I'm sure there are many of us of a certain age who remember how difficult it was to get a bongo mag when you were younger, and even when VHS appeared it was a challenge. There was too much poornography around, such as Razzle, Mayfair or Your Mum, but these days every taste is catered for.

The world has gone SOFT.:flounce:

If this turns out to be true, may I be the first to offer condolences to your family.

On a side note, if a young woman becomes addicted to porn, does she suffer health problems, such as a non-self lubricating vagina?

I remember as a kid, me and my mates sharing tales of rumoured jazz mags hidden in bushes in the local woods. We'd all jump on our bikes and spend hours trekking across countryside looking for the holy grail. It was like a mucky version of 'stand by me'.

Ah ha! You are talking about the original dogging sites, at least I think you are. Of course I have very little knowledge about that sort of thing.

It is a problem and does give young people a warped version of sexuality.

However, whilst at the playground outside the community centre of my childhood village, I took my daughter to the public lavs only to be met by a carpet of pages ripped out of a rather explicit rhythm magazine.

As I ushered her quickly out again I felt a warm, comforting pang of nostalgia.

If my calculations are correct I should have been blind and walking with a stick by 1987.
No doubt. If you're still healthy (and I clearly mean in body, not mind), then you've single-handedly proved them wrong.

Indeed I do. And the days before it was allowed to show any hair down below as well...... and this was before people shaved or whatever down there.

I can remember getting all my sex education from the 'Quest' section of the copies of the increasingly frayed (and worse) copies of Mayfair that were passed around my classmates at school. When actually confronted with a real situation I was disappointed to find that it wasn't a cross between the modern pentathlon and a fireworks display; it did actually require a certain level of sensitivity which I wasn't prepared for. It must be much worse now which is a bit of a concern.
