Just in case anyone else only found out today. There is a planned strike on the DLR 7th-9th Nov.,
which messes up the London City Airport link (extends the journey time).

30 min stroll from Woolwich (on Elizabeth line) - through the historic Woolwich Foot Tunnel - is a viable option, and about the same distance from Custom House station.
