Why can we not do both? Both are part of our 'mandate'. It's called multi-tasking.

You can do what you want, its Christian money, if they think that using bible quotes to authenticate the bible (?) and responding to Atheists having a giggle is a priority rather than helping the dying and the hungry I'm sure Jesus would approve.

Please don't make me have to go into all this again Juan, I like your posts on every other subject.

As an inveterate ponce, can I just say that I'm fascinated by "Around The World In 80 Faiths"? It's a great programme - and I love the UBERponce hippy vicar that presents it, he's perfect for it.

Great programme. So many faiths, which one to choose. I quite liked that Brazillian one where you got that nice little drink.

think its a shame that he missed out OSHO in India.

I think you have entirely missed the point. Christians' number one mission is to spread the gospel, which I'm guessing is the point of the ads. Tending to physical needs of others is an important second, which is why we quietly raise millions for such work every year. It is, however, second. Spiritual needs before physical needs, but ideally both.

If you want Jesus' opinion on it, I suggest you try Mark 1: 35-38.

If you don't want me to 'make me have to go into all this again' I suggest you keep out of discussions you either don't really understand or have a prejudice against. Simple, really.

Well he does try and have a stab at it. Too many faiths just decide that any other religion than there's is just plain wrong.

I often wonder how believers get round this one.

In practice, every believer is an atheist in respect of every god except their own. And yet they think that atheists are missing a trick ...
