Not the real one
Thats what Withdean was like yesterday. The crowd weren't up for it, the players weren't interested and the whole place had the stench of defeat and disappointment. The players are mainly at fault for the last 3 results. While they deserve praising for getting us 4 points clear, they deserve to take the wrap when their displays are so dismal. It was as though they were just playing the game to get through it until the new manager comes. There isn't even excitment about the new manager, it seems as though nobody would really like any of the names that have been banded about and yesterday the thought of leroy taking over fills me with gloom. It seems DK is so worried about another man running out on him that he seems to want to go for mediocre managers so that no one will pinch them. I don't think thats good enough. He should go for the very top men in the game that he can get. The whole situation of the club at the moment leaves a sour taste.

Reckon a clear out is in order. Too many 'faithful servants' going through the motions (Mayo, Watson, Jones, even Gary Hart) I'd have paid good money to see Sir Anthony Rougier charging and tumbling through the undergrowth yesterday - just to see the panic in the opposition defence. I know some people think he's a clown but at least he was OUR clown for a while. And he loved it down here, and he made things happen, whether he actually meant to or not. He was almost a talisman for a while. Sign him up!

Had exactly this conversation as we left Withdean yesterday. Too cosy for all the above players, we need fresh blood. Whether we can afford it is debatable. But ideally we do need a clear out.

I just want to be entertained again because regardless of our position we have been shit to watch this season. I missed QPR and the only game that got me excited was Rushden.

Just give Rosenior the job, he appears to be a young upcoming manager and he's one who believes in attacking football. f*** off Coppell and Taylor with their negative well thought out tactics, just entertain me for a season!

I'm all for a bit of entertainment too.

It's nice to know that I'm not alone in thinking that we've been f***ing awful to watch this season. I missed Rushden thereby missing our best performance:censored:

I, too, would like to see a cull of some of our players. A lot of them are just going through the motions at the moment and it just isn't good enough. If a player is not prepared to give his all for the stripes, he should just fcuk off.

:(

My comment was linked to the frustration I feel as a result of the last few games. Just what has happened to some of our players? It defies belief. When I turn up for work I am expected to do a half decent job regardless of how I feel. So why can't the team do likewise? It may be that they are doing their best under difficult circumstances but it just doesn't seem like it.

Rant over....

i agree some entertainment for the crowd would make a much welcomed change and a proper manager with care and devotion to the club an Albion legend, did i mention he should be DEAN WILKINS?

until a new manager is instilled they will continue to put no effort in as their places are more or less certainties so they dont bother the passion the will the fight for the town has been taken ovre by greed and complacency ever since Cullip wanted away these players have been able to get away with it

I would have described Saturday as an ' uninspired ' performance, but in truth, Stockport did NOT deserve to win the game. Their goal came from ONE defensive error by Mayo, and other than the effort cleared off the line by Paul Watson, our boys played OK.

Yes they were OK, not great, but OK.

I didn't see the heads go down after Stockport scored, we still played to our strengths and moved the ball about a bit. BUT there was no sense of urgency, no sense that we can press on for an equaliser.

The players are slipping into the comfort zone. Why ? Because there is no-one to give them the proverbial kick up the arse for slowing the game's pace.

No we don't need to clear any players out, we need a manager to pick them up and give them a lift !

Our squad is starting to look woefully thin at the moment with no players on the bench who look like they make any sort of impact on the game.

The result it seems is that the first eleven have decided they can play like shit and still not have to worry abou tbeing dropped.

Hart and Jones are having a mare, and Rehman should go now because he looks absolute pants!
