The plural of anecdote is not data - providing one example in the Daily Mail is categorically not proof that ethnic minorities have an advantage. For every example of a black/asian person getting something they shouldn't, there will be an example of a white person getting the same. Of course, if you restrict your reading material to either the Daily Mail, Express or Star you won't see the other examples as it doesn't fit their editorial narrative (and if you've been watching the Leveson inquiry you'll have seen their journalists fully admit this).

Seriously, can you back up your statements other than with tabloid quotes? [MENTION=11956]bushy[/MENTION] you even say it's "official policy" - provide a link to this policy that gives "blacks and asians" any advantage?

If we put aside (temporarily - I'm sure you'll come back to it later) the issue of comparing this video to Emma West, can you please explain why you are so sure that the attacker in this case didn't get held in custody prior to trial? It doesn't reference that anywhere on the link you have provided.

It could be that you've seen it somewhere else, or it could be that you're completely ignoring it and pretending/assuming he didn't just so you can use it in your ranting. If he did get held in custody before trial, you really can't use it in your argument as pre-trial is the only comparison you have with Emma West until hers is held.

I travel a hell of a lot. Personally, I wouldn't want the UK to become as intolerant as some other parts of the world.

Having said that, there's regions that have been through a hell of a lot more racial tension than the UK that we could learn from. I went to Beirut last Easter, and the thing that hit me more than anything else, more even than the war shelled buildings and the huge divide between rich and poor (I saw more supercars than I've seen anywhere else, and also saw worse slums than poor parts of Bangkok), was how well the Muslims and Christians are getting on these days. Everywhere you go there are mixed groups of Christian and Muslims out together, even in the bars, the Muslims just don't drink alcohol while they're there.
