I think the rule that teams have to play their 'strongest' side has gone by the by, as managers argue it's a squad game these days, and fringe players need game time and first teamers need to rest. The fans are probably the losers, as long away trips to see a b-team would be hard to swallow. They probably know the score these days though to be fair...
