Right, before anyone takes the piss, I have checked both our own and Southampton's website before posting this and am still left wondering how to get to the stadium from Southampton central.

I am training it over from Portsmouth and have no idea how to get to the ground from the station. Is it far? Need to know so I know which train to get. Thank you, much love.

1. Find out postcode of Southampton Central [SO15 1AL].
2. Find out postcode of St Mary's Stadium [SO14 5FP].
3. Get Google Maps up.
4. Click on 'get directions'.
5. Type both postcodes in.
6. Click 'enter' then it'll come up with distance AND walking time [1.3 miles & 27 minutes].
7. Take a breather.
8. Thank me.

If you're planning on walking from the station, there is actually a free bus that runs from outside platform 4 of Southampton Central. It will take you into town, and you can walk from there. I presume it does run on Sundays?

Frankly, I'm amazed you can wash and dress yourself without assistance.

Even if you were unable to use google maps the ground is well signposted from Southampton central station and only a short walk.

Do you suppose our friend is still wandering the streets of Southampton, shoes on the wrong feet and jumper on back to front, looking for a 32'000 seater floodlit stadium on a Sunday night...?
