Nobody who attended those final games could honestly believe this.

I'll never forget Bournemouth away. I've never watched a game like it, where things were so obviously OVER between a manager and the club. It was worse even than the 1-5 home defeat to Stoke at Withdean!

And whilst you could try to absolve RDZ of the blame, because we 'had' to resort to playing Offiah and O'Mahoney - we had Veltman, Webster, Moder, Baleba, Fati, Enciso, Lallana and Welbeck all on the bench!

That game was utter dogsh*t.

Worthing
Can we pack it in with turning every thread into a RDZ vs FH thread? It's so boring.

I get it during the season when performances/results are up for debate but a close season thread about a new potential signing? f***ing hell!
Agree…..

Have to say I am as excited (probably more actually) of the Coppola signing than the Greek players….

Think he could be great.
Always enjoy watching Italian players…..

So my point stands - the football has definitely improved under Hürzeler 👍
I agree. I suspect there is an element of rose tintedness in looking back at de Zerbi's time. It fizzled out badly but I doubt it was ever any better/more exciting to watch when going forward than Hurtzeler's Brighton. Defensively is more an argument 🤔

Apparently not. Imagine opening this thread hoping for an update on the player it’s named after… rookie mistake.

There is probably some boring stat that finishing with less points and not achieving Europa league football is being lapped up by a few.
Are we looking forward to next seasons European tour? We really should be but it’s been done to death why we aren’t.
Compare RDZs first full season and FHs first full season and I think you will find that Fab improved our position in the League. Doesn’t suit RDZ fanboys like me but facts are facts. 2024 finish was 11th and this year was 9th.

What's the latest on this? All seems to have gone quiet or am I imagining it?
Its gone quiet, but thats possibly because it basically done. Just dotting the i's and crossing the t's on the contract I assume, or waiting until the transfer window re-opens to announce it. All the usual journalists have said its done.
