…part of Carlos Baleba’s story on Instagram.

Interesting if he means that as literally as it reads, as that suggests the intent for today was something different, but there was a late change of plan.

Hmm, that’s a concern, if he didn’t know he was playing at CB.
Hopefully lost in translation, but if not, shows a huge lack of preparation.
Sounds like Fabian is learning on the job, too much.

He’s such a crap manager it’s Leicester and he crapped himself. This was a game to see if Wieffer is any good or if Cashin is likely to make it.
Because he hasn’t built any kind of formation:style each game is different from the last.
Southampton and now this shower have looked the most likely team to win in both games.
What are we holding out for with this guy?

Hmm.

Maybe its not literal and he got the lineup on Thursday as normal, but he's just trying to be a little funny?

Maybe whoever runs his social media stuff didn't care too much about the details?

Or maybe Mats - given that he didn't come on at all today - was supposed to start in defence but accidently slept on some cookie crumbs and had to pull out with a bad back or something?

And yet CB did an amazing job at CB.

Yeah - REALLY crap decision :lolol:

Cashin is the most pointless signing we have ever made (or at least since Ali Al Habsi). Huerzler once again shoehorning in other players because he thinks those available are crap. If Huerzler thinks they are rubbish that’s an abject failure by the entire club. Stop buying players that managers don’t want, it hasn’t and never will work.

Look at Villa - they brought in players in January, who have made instant impact. We needed that. And if we couldn't get someone who would make instant impact (or any impact whatsoever), why bother buying in January when we know it's an expensive time to buy?

Often final fitness reports don’t come back until the after the press conferences -so managers often don’t have the full picture to give to the media - clearly there were questions about CB on Friday but that doesn’t mean the complete line up therefore was finalised by Friday or the players were informed on Friday - they were probably aware there would possibly be a tweak though.

I guess there’s always a chance of late news leaking out of the opposition camp too.

On Friday there were hints that RvN would revert to a back 4 rather than the back 5 set up they have been using recently - that may have impacted Fab’s late decision about our back line too.

Because that’s not the Brighton Way. Our signings need 2-3 years adjustment time, and then, if they’re any good, they will be immediately sold. Impact? You want instant impact? For £40m? Next you’ll be wanting players that can shoot from 6 feet out AND get it on target!

Rutter and Pedro were instant successes (if you disregard two or three nsc’ers saying what a waste of money). Veltman, Cuckoo, Estupinan, Welbeck too.
