[Music] Did you ever buy a single (7"or 12") because of the picture cover?

Great tune. Used to buy LPs all the time because of the cover and discovered some great music as a result. My intro into Metallica a good example.

In the same musical genre the picture of Eddie on TLD the first two Iron Maiden albums definitely caught my eye. Before the digital age of MP3 one of life's joys was perusing the album covers (Max records in Eastbourne in my case).

Tun Wells
Between the years 1986 and 1998 - I bought most new indie releases from the Longplayer in Tun Wells, many of those were piccy discs. Always an extra bit of fun with them.

This was my fave though.

I went there a lot as well, never forget the smell from the coffee grinders a couple of shops down

Good call! And don't forget the classic yellow bag. The digital age means the joy of a gate fold sleeve lost on the younger generation.

Bought from HMV Brighton back in the day, the cover I have, is exactly as seen above.
Mine too-I bought the UK Import from Sam The Record Man.

That record was purchased at Max! Used to spend hours in there browsing indie, metal, and hip hop.

Not a single. And I had heard of them through a mate but not actually listened to any of their tunes. Saw this in the record shop that was on School Hill in Lewes (where I spent a ****ing fortune age 11-17) and thought "**** me, that's interesting". What a purchase!

bought something because coloured vinyl, cant remember what it was now.

Me too - I bought the Dickies in Blue Vinyl coz I had heard the coloured vinyl one was worth a lot of money. Turned out Blue Vinyl was common but the yellow vinyl was the one worth a lot of money - And the album was a load of pish as well
