He cost £300,000. If we take the average gate at 6000 for 25 matches per year over 3.5 years , (630,000 attendance), it works out at 48p from each of us every game. However if you add in his wages of say £150,000 per annum for 3.5 years it goes up to £1.31 from each of us each home game.

But we didn't want to retain Holroyd, he has been released. Before the Bosman ruling Murray wouldn't have been able to move to Palarse on a free.
