I've seen the first 10 minutes and last 10 and that was enough to make me feel like I was watching my childhood being raped.

Raiders is such an incredible film, a proper adult adventure film and the other 2 follow in a similar vein. f***, I'm gonna say it again, Raiders is fecking awesome. I'm gonna watch it again this week. The Pat 'Bomber' Roach fight is possibly one of my favourite ever scenes.

According to Ray Winstone, Harrison can genuinely lash the top off a cigar from 20 yards. Bit of a dab hand with that whip by all accounts.

He seem to say the same things in each of his interviews, which seems to suggest to me, he isn't articulated enough to handle interviews and/or its part of the Indie hype!!

I was doubly excited about it. Firstly it came out on my birthday, and secondly, I saw the Indiana Jones show in Florida just the week before. It starred Harrison Ford's stunt double, which was fun.

I wasn't DISAPPOINTED but neither was I as over the moon as I'd thought I'd be, being a big fan of the series (with the shankara stones being the low light of the lot!).
I think a) Harrison Ford looked old. Really old. Which of course he is - but I idealised him as a YOUNG indy and would have preferred them to have air-brushed out the wrinkles, maybe combined with my birthday I realised that I was ALSO getting old and didn't like it! lol!
b) the story got a bit lost amongst the need to bring back the old characters and the end was a mash of The Mummy, Close Encounters and ET. I had to have it explained to me what happened to the baddie as I wasn't sure why she explodipated.
c) I liked the anti-cheesey ending where he took his hat back. Most films would have left it 'handing the torch over'.

I'll definately be adding it to my dvd collection, but the first film still holds the golden place in my heart. Sigh.
