Face it the fans are paying for everything via high priced tickets etc and thats who is running the club not dick as he hasn't a pott to piss in so you say.

O yeah and of course the man man at the club sir fatboy slim who whops in a tidy 2.5 million and 1 million more than our chairman who has slipped the bobby cheque in his account to clear what we owe him.

Come on Berks even you know that the fans are paying a hefty percentage of their ticket money towards bloody ecovert. Reality dictates there is little money. We have a budget probably based on what revenues are available to us, a few loans that are repayable and whatever money the directors put into the club. We have had one of the richest men in Britain running this club before and we are still suffering the after effects of his raping of the club. Things cannot be changed overnight, a stadium cannot be built without planning position - we are not erecting a bloody garden shed, Brighton is unfortunate that it is hemmed in by the downs to the north and the sea to the south, it has also never been an industrial city, there are no brownfield sites which litter the cities of northern England that enable those clubs to build stadiums in one or two years.

Oh and if you are going to post a thread about your opinions you are going to get people arguing with you. Don't hide behind this crap that you are useless on this subject.

A startling lack of intelligence on this thread by you Berkshire, you're normally more on the ball than this. I can only think it is the result of a knee-jerk reaction of a grim 4-1 defeat, and a few beers. By all means let off a bit of steam, but at least be sensible and cohesive about it.

Don't lose sight of where we've been, what we're dealing with right now, and where this club could be in a few years. This club was utterly ravaged in 1997. What has happened since then has been miraculous, but the next real steps can't be taken until we have that stadium - and there is absolutely NOTHING Dick Knight (or anyone else) can do to hurry that along.

We're all impatient, we're all dying to see the Albion in the surroundings they deserve, and we all want to see us wiping the floor with the opposition again. But the cold reality is, we might have to trundle along for a few years in D2 till that happens. If you can't be arsed to wait any longer and have now lost your patience, then latch on to a Prem club or something, cos you should know by now that with the Albion its always going to be a rollercoaster.

I never asked for a super rich chairman just someone who has a few bob as our spending is a complete joke.

Yeah call it frustration if you want but being skint for decades and never hardly buying players becomes to much and yes i have seen more games in the lower leagues and struggling etc,but there comes a time when a club needs more funds and don't neglect the playing side.

what is it these days that we don't spend more than 100k and yet these young players we buy are investments for the future and on the other hand you get a chance to sign numerous players of quality and just wave em away.

2. An alcoholic deaf scouser as a manager
3. Jason Peake

If you look at the club accounts we are losing money because of Ecovert and the costs of running Withdean. This diverts cash away from being able to buy players

Once upon a time Bellotti was the man walking thru the North Stand and everyone said he is a Brighton fan and he is good for the club. Not to forget the way certain members of the clique (Hello Attilla) were right up Stanleys arse as well.
