Well thank you for your replys???
Its simple then as if he hasn't a pot to piss in thats no good for us its that simple and obviously once falmer arrives he must step aside and let the big boys take over the proper funds although he will be a major part of the board.

Now as i suspect he has a fortune there i just no it and he rearly is being a tight arse.

Now knight has pumped 1.5 million into our club although i suspect he has retrieved a tidy sum back and funny enough fatboy slim has pumped 2.5 million into the club.???

I will be very interested to see what happens once falmer is up and running,so over all the amount of funds reaching the playing side has been nothing but a shambles as clear to see over the past 5 years or more.

Most 3rd division clubs have spent more than us and to all those die hard fans who pay a fortune on season tickets and other bits from the shop etc surely you can't be satisfied with the playing side getting neglected.

I shall call it a day on this subject:lolol:

Yeah and he will probably lie to you as he would look a fool saying he has 80 big ones and don't spend it.???

We will get something but it will be a pathetic amount compared to Jake's value in 2-3 years. Don't be surprised if he ends up playing for England.

I really do think people are getting a wee bit carried away with this young lad. He looks a good prospect certainly, but to start putting him in the multi-million pound England player bracket by the time he's 20, is quite laughable really.

Anyhoo, for my two penneth, DK is steering a very steady ship at the Albion, and its a bit rich (no pun intended) for people to be speculating on how much he's got in his wallet and how much of his own personal cash he should be splashing out on buying new players. He's got the clubs best interests at heart, has brought us back home from that hell-hole in Kent, and he has spearheaded the only credible application this club has EVER managed to put together for a new stadium. And still people whine like slags.

Just get off his back.

It's irrelevant if Sussex Edge quoted him as saying he sold his business for £80m. It's a highly unlikely figure anyway - Dick Knight Associates was NEVER a big player in the PR and media world, despite his media coup about the 'Hello Boys' campaign for Wonderbra. As someone who works in that field, I would find that figure extremely dubious.

Besides which, no-one has the right to tell anyone what to do with their own money. If you have a bee in your bonnet about him having a fortune and not spending it on what you want him to spend it on - that's your problem.

If you think he should spend it on the Albion and he doesn't, then present someone who DOES want to run the Albion. It's an extremely high risk business venture, with little or no chance of a return on your investment, especially while we are still at Withdean.

As was stated earlier, the real investment will come when permission for Falmer is granted. And no, Dick Knight is definitely NOT in a position to clean up. To echo Easy 10, get off his back.

Could anyone else on NSC do better?

The financial acumen of many on this site would not be enough to light a 40 watt bulb.

DK is not very wealthy by football standards, He has put about £1.5 million into the club, when you have put more than that in you have earned the right to slag him off, until then shut up.

No one apart from a romantic or a fan would invest in the club, with or without Falmer.

The new stadium will not mean that the club will make money, just look at the likes of Leicester, Derby and Ipswich, all with new or improved stadia who have ended up in administration or financial difficulties.

If i wanna slag him off i will so you shut it as i want this club to go forwards not fu-cking backwards.

If you think we are going anywhere your wrong as you need money to progress its that simple end of it.

How long have we waited for this stadium its a joke:salute:

Money is not the current over-riding problem with getting Falmer, it's the red tape within the offices of power. The Albion has ploughed over £2m into this project so far. That's hardly tight, is it?

Not exactly Mr Current Affairs, are you? :shootself

berkshire. i read your posts in amazement. have you not followed the whole stadium saga. have you got no idea of all the shit the club has to go through just to get sodding planning permission? 80 million quid? what!? base your opinions on some fukin facts for a change. your posts about knight sound like tabloid drivel.

oh and you want the club to go forward do you?

ok. bottom of div 3 when he took over, 6 years later two championships, a season in div 1 and we're currently in the promotion race this year. what f***ing more do you want? do you feel no gratitude for the hard slog put in for falmer.maybe it just bores you too much, or are you so shallow, you'll only be happy when you're sat on your arse in one of the stands watching us play in the sodding chumpions league.

its all about money is it? well, manure have got plenty of that and they don't mind who supports them.

i'll stick with dick and the albion thanks

I can see why this club is the slowest in the world with people like you two.
Get a grip and realise it doesn't take 6 years to get this far and you have noticed a few blips on the way caused by bha.

yeah looking at it you would say its been a very long slog, but who's to say it couldn't have been done quicker and why the fu-ck does it take 2 1/2 years to build ha ha is that a complete joke or what.

Yes i might say a lot of shite, but how can a club go places with no money and barely breaking even mmmm.

No point in going on as i could argue with you 2 all night:lolol:

O yeah you can forget getting a pint off me:clap2: :drink:

Berkshire, you're just like the kids I teach in ICT, if the PC doesn't work they think they've got a shit machine that needs replacing immediately. The difference is they are kids who don't know any better you're a grown man who should have a bit more wisdom and foresight. You want everything now. Sorry it doesn't work that way, I don't care if it takes another 6 years as long as there is still a club for the next 100. Football fans always want short term solutions because they lack the foresight to see that short term gains can often turn into long term failures. Knight is running a tight ship which is what we have to do until Falmer arrives and opens up a new and more lucrative stream of revenue. NOTHING can be resolved until we get the go ahead for Falmer. No businessman with any sense will put money into the club until we have a stadium. In the meantime the club has to live within its means on the money it earns using people who have the club at heart and not some money grabbing, ego boosting dodgy geezer.

Your business plan seems to be speculate to accumulate or what is known as the Ridsdale method. Those days are now over, with a 10 point deduction for going into administration a failed gamble could be increasingly costly, particularly in the lower divisions where the dividing line between success or failure is more costly.

Rant over.

So far the red tape and the NIMBY's have delayed Falmer, and this has cost us

Mickey Adams
Peter Taylor
Steve Coppell
Steve Sidwell etc etc

Slagging off DK is the sign of a tiny mind and an even smaller penis. Anyone with knowledge of business knows that you have to get the foundations right, which means not spending more than you earn, having assets that generate revenue and not risking long term survival with short term risk taking.

Berkshire obviously wants that nice Peter Ridsdale in charge, he spent lots of money the club did not have and look where they are today. The same trick has been tried at Oldham, Bradford and others.

We are solvent and should be greateful for that. The football is shite, but if you have watched the Albion for a long time and not been a glory seeker then you will know that it is often f***ing awful to watch.

I never asked for a super rich chairman just someone who has a few bob as our spending is a complete joke.

Yeah call it frustration if you want but being skint for decades and never hardly buying players becomes to much and yes i have seen more games in the lower leagues and struggling etc,but there comes a time when a club needs more funds and don't neglect the playing side.

what is it these days that we don't spend more than 100k and yet these young players we buy are investments for the future and on the other hand you get a chance to sign numerous players of quality and just wave em away.:drink:
