Des Lynam Courting Purdew?

I understand that Des Lynam is using his spare time to try and court investors for the Albion (according to media reports a week or so ago).

I also think that he has approached one Stephen Purdew, mega-rich owner of society health farms Champneys whom Steve Foster tried to broker a deal with several years ago. Does anyone know if this is true? I heard it on the grape vine so to speak (well a pal of mine went to Champneys Forest Mere recently and saw Des, so I've put 2+2 together)??

It may have just been a break, but it does seem coincidental.

The general view last time when Purdew came sniffing around was he doesn't have a pot to piss in. When DK called his bluff last time, as I understand it, all his cash was tied up and he's hocked to the eyeballs with the financial houses. Thus, he doesn't have the "wherewithal" to move the Albion on to a stronger financial position. Personally, I wouldn't have this guy running the Withdean catering, let alone have him in charge of our destiny! His motives are "questionable" He's such a died in the wool Albion fan that prior to him pissing in the pockets of local hacks and retired centre halves the last time he came a calling, he sniffed around both Luton and Portsmouth with the view of "investing". Both clubs at the time were in deep financial shit. Hmmmmmm?? Also, he was/is a season ticket holder at Arsenal! Thanks but no thanks Steven.
