True, but then they do have 33 million more people than we do!!
There is that. :D

I do think the stigma attached to terracing is unnecessary though. Why should people be scared or worried by noise and singing (and in a lot of the German cases great colour)? The German example shows that terracing can be perfectly safe, and makes for a better atmosphere and in all probablitly more accessible pricing.

I am truly shocked.

I had recognised that there was a generation lost at Brighton since we lost the Goldstone.....

But it never entered my mind that the new 'unlost' generation had such a fearful perception of terracing within Stadia......with all that noise and passion..!!!

Shocked :nono:

Coz the make up of people who go to football nowadays has changed and they think they're at the f***ing theatre watching some faggot prance around on stage. Hence all the asking for hush and glaring at people when they shout out or sing. They want to sit down and watch and don't mind spending a fortune on buying Johnny food and drinks all match to keep him quiet rather than see him enjoy himself cheering and joining in some songs.

I'm fairly quiet at matches as they go but I'm not in a million years going to glare at those who do cheer/sing/do anything other than the angry shouting that I manage to do...

Just wait till that first league game at Falmer, it's going to be be like the play off final, 12 odd years of frustration will come forth, lets hope it is against the South London caravan dwellers.
