I need one doing soon. Any recommendations? Much as my dentist is a nice guy and offers them, it feels like this might be more of a specialist job.

I have no idea what that even means!
Neither did I until a few weeks back. Basically, the real lens is taken out, and is replaced with a contact lens. Think permanent contact lens.

I would 100% have recommended my dentist before my implant fell out whilst brushing my teeth :lolol:

My wife had three new implants done in Malaga. Prices were around 30-40% cheaper than she had quoted at her dentist here.
Proper state of the art treatment to boot and a fantastic City to visit as well !!

Sometimes folk do look a million dollars when they get new railings but then there’s others Klopp for example, when he opens his mouth I’m unsure if he’s smiling or just drying his teeth.

What with the generally high costs in the UK, has anyone considered using a dental implant clinic outside of the UK to get them done (Bulgaria, India etc)

Thanks in advance for any advice (y)
Turkey. Had 3 implants and all my teeth done. About £5000 in total. Well worth doing it. If I need fillings or more work I’ll go back. Not paying prices over here.

I had 3 implants done 10 years ago, cricket ball to the chops ...

I found a place in the UK very reasonable, turns out it wad a Hungarian chap coming over here, 3 days in one branch (Wolves) and 2 days in the other (Luton), £1.5k per tooth but I got £3k insurance from the cricket club towards it.

Very happy, all good. But i think they closed down, was called Perfect Profiles.

As an aside, the wife had eye surgery this week. Each eye had a lens put in it so she doesn’t have to wear contacts anymore. 30 mins each eye, 8k. As an hourly rate this is more than most EPL footballers.

Think I’ll try and come back in the next life as an eye surgeon.

Cataracts? NHS treatment with a decent optician is done very quickly and free!

Nope. Refractive eye surgery to “exchange” each lens.
I had this done on the NHS a couple of months back. I had elevated eye pressures (Gloucoma) and the drops weren't working.

They offered me cataracts saying I didn't need them doing (yet) but it uses the same incision point to put iStents in which I needed to sort my pressures.

I was a high prescription RGP wearer for 45 years, now, I only need readers for close up and will never suffer cataracts as I've had my eye lens replaced as a cateract op. Long wait, as I wasnt urgent, but well happy now. Pressures are down too.
