Since being just north of 40 I’ve found my tastes changing, so at the weekend i decided to get some “holiday clothes “ as going away for a week In august I stumble across the croc shop in town invest in a pair of flip flops these things are officially the most comfortable things I’ve ever worn ,
I have a pair of crocs that I keep by the back door for popping out to the garden and put the recycling out, getting washing in and out etc. I kept telling hubby that they are perfect for the job, but refused to be convinced. I bought him a pair anyway and he is a total convert, even uses them at the front of the house when washing his car, where people might walk pass and see 😂

I live in my Crocs around the house and will wear them in the fornt garden/putting bins out etc. However, they are Realtree Camo versions (bought in the USA) so maybe people can't see them.
I've nearly worn through the bottoms, so will need a new pair soon!!

Nowt wrong with Skechers Go Walk shoes. I bought a pair in Sports Direct over 10 years ago for £40 as they were cheap enough for me to not worry about binning them off straight away.

The next day I went and bought the same style but in a different colour.

I haven't bought anything else since then.

Luckily I wear steel shoes at work so they're literally just a weekend and evening trainer.

Usually get 12 months good wear from them, then they're relegated to the DIY/garden/bin shoe and can still get another 6 months out of them.

Currently on my 3rd pair of Skechers Uno. They're great as all leather so no water absorbing fabric in winter and warmer too.

I'm now 46.

Have been considering old school again and going for a pair of Reebok Classics like I lived in, in the 90's as a teenager but I keep coming back.

Crocs are cool now. They weren’t when they first appeared but they’re seriously fashionable now. Or were a few months ago.

Spam, per my spam thread (the food). Also Branston pickle is considered a bit old man, but is bloody delicious. Scarves at the football (but not rattles). Sun hats at the cricket.

I have reached the age, where I find that Marks and Spencers meets most of my clothing needs.

Sad but true
I’m not quite there, but I will say this - boxer shorts and socks. Nowhere else comes close.

I’ve worn crocs for gardening for years: they’re great - comfortable, and easy to slip on and off. What’s worrying is the frequency I pop to the shops in them now: would never have considered it not so long ago.
