I'm his right foot, and FG is nowhere to be seen.

I had a very nice Egg Mayo sandwich on white bread for lunch wiht some Japanese Rice crackers, and I am now working my way through packet of minstrels. My liquid refreshment comes in the form of a bottle of Coke.

What puzzles me is why Dean Wilkins. He was a legend in his playing days but coaching a few kids hardly makes him number one contender for the managers post. You would think FG might have come up with a more plausible candidate.

Actually i think I know now. It's precisely because there's no danger of him, being named that FG can jump up and down about him. He's no chance of being found out.

FG I am interested as to why you think Dean Wilkins is such a good Manager! Do you know many people who are or have been involved in the youth set up?

Or are you just pulling our chains because from what I know Dean Wilkins is a bit of a tosser!

Was he really a legend in his playing days??!

One admittedly great free kick against Ipswich does not make up for years of total one-footedness and reluctance to tackle in my mind!

Sorry Wendy....

Wilkins has done wonders with the kids if this great club is ever gonna make it up the league we must have a second to none Scouting system in place and an Albion connection/legend as Manager agreed he is untapped at this level but he deserves a chance even if only as caretaker until a more proven manager comes in. He is skilled has good footballing brain and his midfiedl genius can only be good for the club he will certainly get the respect of the players and that is vital he would also be a very popular fans choice, hes Albion through and though we might actually get the ball played with accuracy under his wings rather than all this long ball stuff SC plays. IT HAS TO BE DEANO DEANO DEANO. Yes im serious give him a chance. He has earned it and I respect his brilliance, he was so skilful he didn’t need to go crashing into tackles he used his brain that’s why.

Queue men in white coats - unless you are "Silence" in disguise

If Deano is doing a great job developing the youngsters, leave him be ! It's an invaluable job and, IMHO, possibly even more important than the first team manager's job.
If he feeds regular youngsters through over the years, we get virtually no cost players who are prepared to run through brick walls because they're local and it's THEIR club.

Besides, not everyone who is an ace youth coach can be a 1st team manager and vice versa. Different jobs requiring different attributes.

we are a small club granted with potential but potless and the only way of getting up with the dizzy heights of Charlton Athletic and Man City is to get quality youngsters through the youth set up and the best scouting system in the country picking up untapped talent so we can keep some sell some along the way and generate the money to grow as a footballclub selling tickets on golden goals and the like wont make it big time neither will wasting money on a pipe dream of Falmer. eano is Albion through and through if he failks he will be like Keegan liked but simply wasnt suited to the England job Deano has my utter total 100% respect IT HAS TO BE DEAN WILKINS DEANO DEANO DEANO

Coach03 that is what i believe might happen he may be kept where he is simply because he i doing such a great job but if he wants to step inti the 1st team managers role i think he should be given the full backing of fans and board of directors some money sufficient to compete in this division and if it doesnt work out then back to the youth set up no disgrace on the great man
